CSBG program, promotes the overcoming of poverty of individuals, families and low-income communities in Puerto Rico, with the integration of technical tools, social, economic and educational. This is accomplished through the following programs: On the Job Training; Emergency Services, Community Development and Economic Development.

CSBG CARES Supplemental Funds / Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19) Since December 2019, the spread of COVID-19 has severely impacted many local economies around the globe. The World Health Organization has declared COVID-19 a pandemic resulting in federal, state, and local governments and private entities mandating various restrictions, where businesses are being forced to cease or limit operations for long or indefinite periods of time. Measures taken to contain the spread of the virus, including travel bans, quarantines, social distancing, and closures of non-essential services have triggered significant disruptions to businesses worldwide, resulting in an economic slowdown.
Contribution with donor-imposed restrictions are recorded as unrestricted revenue if those restrictions are met in the same reporting period otherwise, contributions with donor-imposed restrictions are recorded as increases in temporarily restricted or permanently restricted net assets, depending on the nature of the restriction. Contributions recorded as temporarily restricted net assets are released from restrictions and recognized as unrestricted net assets upon receipt of the gift or expiration of the time restriction, and after nay donor stipulations are met. In addition, grant revenues are being recognized as the qualifying expenses under the grants are incurred.
