Manage and administer the ISBT 128 information standard and maintain all databases, reference tables, and facility licenses. This service was accessed by more than 5,000 healthcare organizations from around the world.
Continued support for technical advisory groups in the Americas, Europe, the middle east and Africa, and the Asia/pacific regions and further development of international terminology for identification of medical products of human origin.
International advocacy for improving patient safety through the use of the ISBT 128 information standard. This advocacy involves working with government, health authorities, professional bodies and nongovernmental organizations. (e.g. world health organization) The organization attended 9 congresses, held 23 advisory group conference calls, and hosted a face to face board of directors meeting.
