Ix Art Park Foundation

The Foundation emphasizes artistic excellence with an array of curated Art installations as well as free Art supplies to encourage people of all ages to engage in their own form of artistic expression. In 2022, the Ix Art Park welcomed over 290,000 visitors. In addition, the Foundation built the looking glass, Virginia's first permanent immersive Art experience. The looking glass has employed over 25 outstanding local and regional artists presenting visual arts in a new and innovative way, including interactive exhibits using sound, light, color and texture to activate the imagination and to appeal to all of the human senses. Ix Art Park also maintains a robust calendar of community events and festivals, which includes a weekly market that celebrates local artisans, producer-only farmers, women in business, immigrants, and bipoc entrepreneurs. Ix Art Park curates and maintains the mural and sculpture environment that make the outdoor piazza visually captivating and can serve as a passive Art Park for visitors or come to life during community events. Our goal is to be more inclusive to people of all backgrounds that we welcome to the Park and the looking glass and to increase diverse and exceptional artist participation.
