Program areas at Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation
Education and leadership programs leadership Joplin is a program developed by the Foundation and sponsored by community businesses to identify, cultivate and motivate future community leaders. The program provides a Foundation for participants to expand their current leadership roles in the community.
Advanced training and technology center (attc) this program is a joint project of the foundation,and crowder college in neosho, Missouri. The renovated warehouse building provides equipment used to train a workforce in advanced welding, advanced manufacturing, and information technology. To complement the small business incubation operation in the nic, the attc provides office space and outreach to businesses currently in startup mode, with the goal of creating jobs.
Joseph newman innovation center (nic) originally this program was designed as a small business incubation operation with building space rented to tenants by the square foot. Today, the program has evolved to a bundle of services and amenities to provide an individual or start-up business the opportunity to develop, collaborate, and grow in an environment to learn, inspire, and prosper.
One Joplin fund and other Chamber programs one Joplin fund is a stand-alone entity with the Missouri secretary of state, but the Foundation is the fiscal sponsor and reports all of the financial information. One Joplin facilitates collaboration and communication among Area organizations to identify and meet community needs in poverty, human services, health, and literacy. The Chamber facilitates many other programs for the benefit of the community.
