Program areas at JUST Living Recovery

Completing renovation of the buildings interior community spaces and sleeping rooms to provide the kind of supportive environment that creates positive results for people in recovery. Seeing JLR residents survive, thrive, and exit into independent, healthy life situations. Time in sobriety for current JLR residents ranges from 296 to 1,581 days. As of December 31, 2023, 88% of current residents have more than 6 months of sobriety, and 88% have more than one year. Of the residents who exited in 2023, 100% of them had more than one year of sobriety. The National Institute on Drug Abuse recommends at least a 90 day stay to obtain maximum benefit and recommends sober living as a model for retention of residents. JLRs average stay of current and former residents (those who left in 2023) is 521 days in 2023, which exceeds this recommendation. Establishing a skilled, diverse Board of Directors and Advisory Committee, and stabilizing the organization financially after COVID setbacks. In 2023 fund raising exceeded fund raising totals over 2022 by 13%. Total net assets have also increased 27% from 2022 to 2023. Pivoting to a new service model in which resident rooms went from double- to single-occupancy. Initially done to address COVID health protocols, providing individual rooms has created a more healing environment and better outcomes for JLRs residents.In 2023, and for the first time in our history, we have a waiting list of more than 40 potential residents seeking our services.
