Program areas at Maryland Center for the Arts

The organization sponsors an annual Bluegrass Festival. The two-day event is open to the public and features both amateur and professional bluegrass bands.
Maryland Center for the Art's primary goal is to construct a performing arts center (theater, ampi-theater and related buildings) on 44 acres of land that it owns in Harford County, Md. A significant amount of time expended by Officers, employees and volunteers is devoted to planning the construction and raising the funds needed for construction costs. As of June 30, 2023, those costs are included in the organization's balance sheet.
The organization held a Plein Air art exhibition over several days in September, 2021. Artists from various States participated and competed for prizes. The public was invited to view and purchase the artists' works.
Several small program performances such as a Christmas Concert and a Ballet performance. A weeklong summer program for children to learn and practice artistic performance skills. A Big Band concert for the general public. Program staff salary and benefits.
