Flexible supportthe flexible support grant provides up to $15,000 in funding to help groups create access to the Arts and stay connected to audiences/community across the seven-county metro area. Funding can be used for organizational support or projects that bring the Arts to the local communities.in fy2023, mrac received 625 applications and awarded 180 grants totaling $2,675,890 in this program.arts impact for individualsthe Arts impact for individuals grant provides up to $5,000 in fundingarts impact for individualsto support artistic projects in Minnesota led by individuals who identify as black, indigenous, and/or a person of color (bipoc); and/or a person with disabilities (pwd); and/or lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual/agender, two-spirit (lgbtqia2+) and have primary addresses in the seven-county metro area. This grant is designed to support individuals leading efforts to create access to the Arts for communities and/or engage with communities through artistic endeavors.in fy2023, mrac received 147 applications and awarded 83 grants totaling $412,442 in this program.arts impact for groups the Arts impact for groups grant provides up to $10,000 in funding for groups led by black, indigenous, or people of color (bipoc); and/or disabled people / people with disabilities; and/or lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual/agender, two-spirit (lgbtqia2+). Groups must be located in anoka, carver, dakota, hennepin, ramsey, scott and Washington county. This grant is designed to be an infusion of funds to support a group's ability to create access to the arts.in fy2023, mrac received 117 applications and awarded 108 grants totaling $1,073,356 in this program.next step fundthe next step fund is mrac's grant program for individual artists, providing $5000 grants to professional artists in any discipline for the purpose of career development and artistic achievement. The next step fund is funded entirely by the mcknight foundation. In fy2023, mrac received 378 applications and awarded 33 grants totaling $163,450.in fy2023, mrac received 648 applications and awarded 10 grants totaling $350,000.grant workshopsadditionally, mrac also provides grant workshops for prospective applicants prior to each program deadline. Participants learn about the grant program, application process, and how to write an effective mrac grant application. In fy2023, mrac provided grant workshops remotely, as live events and as recorded webinars. A few hundred prospective applicants attended or accessed each grant workshop.
