Program areas at National Criminal Justice Association
Grants and cooperative agreements: grant monies received from the united states department of Justice as both awardee and sub-awardee to provide training and technical assistance to states and territories in relation to strategic planning and evidence-based practices, grants management, Justice information sharing initiatives and to assist tribal and state governments with intergovernmental colloaboration initiatives. Strategic planning and evidence-based practice training and technical assistance to state Criminal Justice agency administrators: technical assistance and training to all 56 states and us territories in relation to Criminal Justice strategic planning and evidence-based practices. Grants management training - this program is an onsite and remote training which assists grant managers to maintain compliance with federal and state rules and regulations regarding federal and state funding received for Criminal Justice programs. Ncjrp - the National Criminal Justice reform project is an arnold ventures funded project in collaboration with the National governors Association to assist 4 states with the development and implementation of reform at the executive branch level. Training & technical assistance for Justice information sharing: provide training and technical assistance to states in relation to Justice information sharing programs.
Annual meeting: sponsored by the National Criminal Justice Association (ncja), the international community Justice Association, the annual forum on Criminal Justice showcases programs, research and technologies that help Justice practitioners and decision makes in states, local communities and tribal nations address pressing public safety issues. It is the only Criminal Justice conference that brings together leaders from federal, state, local and tribal government and the public and private sector to share real world strategies and solutions from around the country.
Membership: ncja is a National membership organization of Criminal Justice practitioners in local, state and tribal governments as well as in academic studies in Criminal Justice.
Service agreements: assist other Criminal Justice related organizations with activities to improve public safety.
