Program areas at NIRA

The National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (nira) is the sanctioning body for the sport of college Rodeo. The nira sanctions 110 rodeos a year, maintains academic eligibility on approximately 3,500 student members a year, maintains memberships for approximately 125 schools and universities. The nira hosts the college National finals Rodeo (cnfr), which is a National championship Rodeo, in june each year. The mission of the nira is to foster and develop Rodeo at the college level so that it will provide educational and competitive opportunities for students.
