New York State Association of Community and Residential Agency (NYSACRA) is a grassroots organization comprised of more than 200 provider agencies serving people with developmental disabilities and their families. As the largest association of this kind in New York State, their membership is their strength. Their members have been carrying out NYSACRA’s mission for more than 30 years. NYSACRA represents the collective voice of its members in promoting the full participation of persons with developmental disabilities in their communities of New York State.

Program areas at NYSACRA

The organization is a statewide association that provides advocacy, education, information, technical assistance and public policy analysis. Membership totals in excess of 150 agencies which provide services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities(i/dd). Each spring the organization holds an annual conference to share current information, industry trends, and regulatory updates with its members. Throughout the year, the organization advocates and conducts continuing education seminars to support the i/dd community across New York state.
