Program areas at NFL Player Care Foundation

Grants provided to individuals in need, including financial assistance for emergency housing, food, clothing, funeral expenses and medical Care. Supplementary case management services are also provided to individuals and family members seeking additional post career resources and assistance.
Grants provided to scientific research organizations, including grants for prostate and cardiovascular research. In 2021, PCF was able to resume its screening program that had previously been postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, though only one event was executed during the entirety of the fiscal year. PCF's research agreement with Tulane University School of Medicine remained undisturbed. A total of 28 former NFL players participated in the program in 2021.
