National and local program services: television programming for njtv, including njtv news and other special new jersey programming that broadcasts throughout the state of new jersey and its tri-state neighbors. Pmnj has more than 16,000 members as of june 30, 2022. Pmnj also provides the national programs made available by the Public broadcasting system (pbs) on NJPBS.
Education: offers local educators free, classroom-ready, digital resources through pbs learning Media NJ, with over 435,000 users in new jersey in fiscal 2022. Njtv also broadcasts a full slate of children's and instructional programming, totaling over 2,900 hours per year.
TELEVISION BROADCAST STATION: TECHNICAL OPERATIONS PROVIDES THE TRANSMISSION OF PMNJ'S BROADCAST SIGNAL TO THE NEW JERSEY PUBLIC BROADCASTING AUTHORITY WHICH IN TURN BROADCASTS THE PROGRAMS WITHIN BOTH NEW YORK CITY AND PHILADELPHIA TELEVISION MARKETS. DURING THE 2021/2022 FISCAL YEAR, PMNJ (a/k/a NJ PBS) TRANSMITTED OVER 17,000 HOURS OF PROGRAMMING ON A 24-HOUR DAILY SCHEDULE.
