Program areas at NRRA

Cooperative purchasing and marketing programs which allow members to take advantage of bulk buying power by accessing markets/pricing that collectively, with other nrra members, are more favorable than they would achieve individually. They also have the ability to ship less than full-truckloads of recyclables at full-load pricing by combining their materials with other members on the same truck, thereby eliminating the need to store large amounts of material on their sites.
Educational programs to train and educate recycling coordinators, facility attendants, and volunteers. It offers an annual recycling education conference and also provides education to schools through a variety of interactive training sessions/workshops, as well as assistance in setting up and facilitating cost-effective recycling programs. The Association also distributes a regular educational newsletter to schools and other members.
