Residential: Beginning 1969 as a New York foster care agency for Jewish children, Ohel cares for thousands of individuals through a broad range of programs including mental health services and counseling, housing for people with developmental and psychiatric disabilities, geriatric services, domestic violence safe dwellings. Ohel's Camp Kaylie welcomes children of all abilities to a summer of inclusive fun. Ohel Zachter Family National Trauma Center provides crisis response and support for trauma nationwide. Ohel Kestenbaum Family International Children's Services provides resilience-building programs to children and schools in New York, across the United States, and around the world.
Day and employment programs: day habilitation programs help participants with developmental disabilities develop and enhance their pre-vocational, community safety, socialization, and functional skills. Our pros program helps individuals with mental health issues define their own life goals and design their unique oaths towards those goals. Employment programs help individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health issues find the right job for their skills and abilities and assist them to ensure a positive employment goal.
Treatment center: provide outpatient mental health and addiction Services to children, adolescents, adults and families with a variety of health and mental health issues. Saw approximately 34,000 visits this year within our freestanding clinics and school satellites.
