Program areas at OHC

Grants - using a portion of its annual appropriation from the national endowment for the Humanities, the organization awards grants to other Ohio nonprofit organizations to promote lifelong learning for out-of-school adults. These grants support lectures, workshops, conferences, museum exhibits, and professional development for teachers.
Lincoln school project - the Ohio Humanities Council supports and provides awareness regarding the lincoln school marchers of hillsboro, Ohio in an effort to combat racial discrimination and promote integration in Ohio.
Lumen magazine - lumen magazine is produced to provide in-depth Humanities perspectives on Ohio stories for the general reading public
Other Council programs - other Council projects include a variety of projects that help promote the Humanities throughout the state of Ohio.
