Program areas at Pacific Mountain Workforce Development Council

Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Formula funds (CFDA 17.258, 17.259, and 17.278). These federal grant programs provide training and support to individuals who have lost their jobs, have barriers to finding employment or do not have the basic skills needed to obtain employment. Individuals may enroll in school, on-the:iob training or skills training and apprenticeships that enhances their prospects in finding work in emerging or growth industries.
Washington State Department of Commerce (CFDA 93.558) Workfirst. WorkFirst is Washington's welfare reform program designed to help Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) participants get what they need to prepare for and go to work. Community Jobs is a comprehensive, paid work program that combines a variety of activities to increase employability of participants. Barrier removal and other intensive case management services are also provided.
WIA National Emergency Grants (CFDA 17.277). This program responds to the COVID-19 crisis by providing subsidized disaster relief employment, work-based learning, training services, a unified system, and providing coordinated access to career services.
We are funded for other programs that are related to assisting individuals with barriers to employment to either find or be trained for available jobs. Other programs provide disaster relief employment and training and support to job seekers.
