Program areas at Parker Street Ministries and Subsidiaries
Financial capability occurs through after-school program enrichments for k-8, family workshops, and young adult boot camps. A future workforce program teaches financial fitness and soft job skills while paying stipends for spending and for restricted savings accounts. Desirable neighborhood activities leverage volunteers and partnerships with landlords and outside agencies to work toward stabilizing families and beautifying the blighted neighborhood. Activities include neighborhood cleanups, landscaping, home repairs, and renovations. A healthy community is encouraged through activities such as: neighborhood christmas store, community gatherings, after-school enrichments, healthy meals and snacks, fitness activities for all ages, and more. Volunteers are vital resources for delivering programs. In 2022, 929 unduplicated volunteers logged 5,774 hours through psm and 53 of those volunteers were neighborhood residents. The in-kind value of volunteer hours in 2022 was 183,521 (independent sector). Measures, program information, and financial documents can be found at psmlakeland.org or at guidestar.org.
