Program areas at Pathways for Little Feet
Pathways provides adoption assistance in order to defray adoption costs. The perpetual family fund loan program provides interest free loans to families. As families pay back their loans, those funds are restricted for the purpose of new adoptions. In 2022, Pathways made loans of $308,632. To date, Pathways' families have paid back over $2.8 million in loans that have gone on to fund approximately 365 new adoptions. The adoption grants program launched in late 2021. This program provides grants to defray adoptions costs in instances where families are unable to reach the final financial goals needed to adopt a child.
Farms for Little Feet launched in 2017, in partnership with lifesong for orphans (lifesong), and provides training and care to children who are aging out of traditional orphan care programs. We support those preparing for adulthood through a berry farm in ukraine by supplying the land, a refrigerated truck, and humanitarian relief during crisis through a nearly $400k investment. In 2022, Pathways for Little Feet donated $100,000 toward relief for those affected by the war in ukraine.
Pathways provides financial support for families, adult adoptees, and birth parents who have a need for trauma-informed and adoption-competent counseling and therapy. In 2022, 14 families received post adoption support counseling and therapy grants.
The andrew project's goal is to support children and families in foster care, as well as supporting targeted orphan care initiatives. The andrew project began in 2021. In 2022, the andrew project provided financial assistance as foster parents, children in foster care, kinship placements, and others on their preservation journey receive trauma-competent counseling and parent coaching on their road to growth and healing.
