Program areas at Performing Animal Welfare Society
Temporary and permanent shelter for mistreated, abandoned, and retired perfoming and exotic animals. This includes housing, feeding, providing veterinary care, and cleaning on a daily basis all accomplished by approximately 35 trained Animal keepers on a 24 hour basis seven days per week.
Consultation services to zoos, theme parks, film productions, etc. Open houses to educate the public, attending and speaking at conferences regarding Animal abuses in entertainment.
Education of the public regarding abuses in the entertainment world, circuses, zoos, theme parks, fairs, etc. Carried out through newsletter, conferences, emails and speaking engagements.
