Research - to support world class research in theoretical physics1) awards and honors - 11 major prizes and honors awarded to Perimeter scientists;2) recruitment - over 150 scientists in residence, faculty (26), associates (22), post-doctoral researchers (72), phd and masters students (95), distinguished visiting chairs (41), visiting fellows (61); 3) hosted 6 conferences and workshops - 852 scientists from around the world;4) presented 305 scientific talks; with a total attendance of more than 8,000 attendees;5) delivered 568 published research papers; 6) sponsored 7 off site workshop and conferences; 7) over 7,199 scientific papers appearing in over 250 journals, with over 400,000 citations since inception;8) over 14,215 online talks and lectures accessed by viewers; 9) hosted 163 visiting scientists for a total of 2,818 days
Students - a concentrated masters level course for exceptional students who wish to become researchers in theoretical physics. This 10-month master's level training course is designed to bring some of the best young scientific talents in the world to Perimeter at the earliest stage of their research careers. Psi has attracted and trained 21 highly qualified persons in the current year, helping to seed canada's high skills community. Graduates go on to study at other universities all over the world while some enter industry.undergraduate summer school program fostered the development of 62 students from 8 countries.
Outreach - to develop and maintain a vigorous public outreach program geared to canadians of all ages to promote the excitement of fundamental inquiry and scientific discovery.1) delivered 146 workshops to over 3,330 educators;2) reached over 41,000 teachers globally by teacher training network;3) made available over 115 in class resources to teachers across canada;4) delivered issyp program to 38 exceptional high school students;5) delivered "inspiring future women in science" to 489 students;6) attracted over 4 million youtube video views in 2021/2022; with 20 million views since inception;7) developed new podcast "conversations at the perimeter"8) generated 1.3 million website page views in 2021/22
