Program areas at Project Woman of Ohio
Domestic violence - services and programs tht protect educate and empower, ultimately promoting selfsufficiency for those who are served. A 365 day a year emergency shelter/safe house is staffed 24 hours a day seven days a week where women and their children can stay for up to 60 days. A crisis line is also staffed 24 hours a day to provide support for callers that need someone to listen, referral information, or are seeking assistance from abusive homes. Project Woman provides victim and hospital advocacy, a domestic violence enhanced response team and children programming in order to combat domestic violence. Presentations are made to schools, organizations and businesses about domestic violence, sexual assualt and healthy relationships in order to provide outreach and prevention services.
Behavioral health - includes services that diagnoses, treats and prevents behavioral health issues.
Transitional housing - housing for women and their children who have been afftected by domestick violence. Women learn recovery skills, master educational and job skills and experince employment in a supportive environment. Supportive services include case coordination, referrals to service providers, transportation to necessary appointments and placement in permanent housing.
