Program areas at Quest

Quest residential services offers housing options in the orlando and tampa areas with services individualized to the needs of each resident. Quest residential services provided homes for 179 people with disabilities in fiscal year 2023.see schedule o for more information.residents have the option to participate in engaging activities that promote lifelong education, maintain a healthy lifestyle, and allow them to assume personal and community responsibility. A personal development plan is prepared for every individual who is in the residential program. Those plans identify each persons unique abilities, goals and interests. Quest works in tandem with residents, their families and medical providers to coordinate needed health services. A nurse visits residents on-site and monitors their health, and all staff members are trained in first aid and cpr.intermediate care facilities (icfs) - a nurturing, home environment for individuals with severe and profound developmental disabilities who are non-ambulatory. Our programs offer 24-hour skilled nursing care, physical, speech and occupational therapy, other special programs, and an extensive support system in comfortable and customized residences that meet the needs of the individuals we serve.group homes - individuals live in small groups of 8 to 12 people, where increasing independence through continued skill training is emphasized. Group homes provide residents with options to participate in meaningful activities that promote lifelong education, maintain a healthy lifestyle and allow them to assume personal and community responsibility.transitional and supported living - designed to fulfill the wishes of caring parents and guardians by offering a Life rich in experiences and opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities. Through transitional living, individuals live in single-bedroom apartments or with roomates in quest-owned apartments. Individuals have access to support staff to assist with daily tasks such as shopping, cooking, bill paying and cleaning. Our supported living program allows people to live and work independently in the community and are assisted as needed with more complex skills such as banking and learning how to navigate public transportation.independent living - at Quest village, residents live in single-unit apartments located within close proximity to healthcare, employment, entertainment, transportation and education centers. On- and off-site support services are available on an as-needed basis. Amenities include a common area with a full kitchen, game room, gym and computer stations with wi-fi. Our outdoor activity areas encourage socialization with neighbors, whether it be playing on a full-sized basketball court or taking an evening walk on an exercise path. All of our common areas are ada-approved, and we offer specified ada units for those requiring them.
Quest kids specializes in helping children with autism, pervasive development disorders and other learning and behavior concerns with individualized one-on-one programs using applied behavior analysis (aba). Quest kids taught critical language and social skills to 146 children in fiscal year 2023.see schedule o for more information.quest kids employs board certified behavior analysts to develop an appropriate path of learning that meets each child's specific needs. Following aba therapy guidelines, rigorous data collection occurs every step of the way to maximize individual progress. Parent and teacher training also ensures that the child experiences a consistent, positive learning environment at home, in school, and during community activities.at Quest kids, children receive intensive instruction in language, self-care, social skills, academics and decision making, as well as, health, wellness and safety behaviors. Through early intervention, children are able to reach their personal goals, require fewer support services later in childhood and be more independent throughout their lives. Quest kids academy - our teachers work with families to carefully create a personalized education plan to meet the unique needs of every student. Curriculum is designed to provide students with a wide range of academic, communication, social, leisure and practical skills to give them a well-rounded education that will lead them toward productive lives and greater independence. The curriculum focuses on the individual needs of each child and appeals to each student's learning style. Students are given placement tests and are grouped by similar academic levels into the appropriate lesson. In addition to group learning, students participate in individualized aba therapy each day.
Quest vocational services offers a variety of employment opportunities and support that empowers individuals with disabilities to develop social and workplace skills as well as confidence and self-esteem so they may achieve greater independence. Quest vocational services offered gainful employment options to 257 individuals with disabilities in fiscal year 2023.see schedule o for more information.in order for individuals to be successful doing a job or to conduct daily living activities in the community, he/she must learn basic tactical skills as well as interpersonal, social and teamwork skills. Quest's vocational services programs provide supports and options for individuals with developmental disabilities seeking meaningful work opportunities as well as Life skills development activities that meet their specific needs and align with their Life goals.quest cultivates and harnesses the talent of our job seekers through our employment continuum. Using the synergies of our evaluation, education, and placement service offerings, the individuals we serve are provided with a strategic, intentional path towards success. This continuum allows for growth, support, and personal fit throughout the employment journey.work readiness training - a program to help prepare prospective employees through effective communication, time management, collaborating with a team, and solving problems and conflicts. This training program teaches these executive functioning skills in the classroom through direct instruction lessons and role-playing scenarios.life skills - Quest's training centers offer Life skills and vocational training, social development and therapy services for adults with developmental disabilities. Opportunities also include supported employment, community volunteerism, fitness classes, and direct care assistance.project search - in partnership with the school district of osceola county and the Florida division of vocational rehabilitation (vr) within the project search program, project search is a nine-month transition-to-work internship program targeting interns who want competitive employment after high school graduation. Through hands-on training, interns acquire employability and marketable work skills, while participating in three rotations across a variety of career paths.group employment - being part of a Quest vocational services group allows individuals the opportunity to work on a variety of projects in the community and learn safe work practices and teamwork.career placement - Quest's placement services works to identify job opportunities, develop success plans, and provide ongoing support for individuals. Our programs provide a comprehensive set of services including vocational evaluation, job development, job coaching, follow-along services and travel training. Individuals learn about vocational options, explore and identify realistic opportunities for competitive employment, and develop plans for success.blossom - blossom is a social venture by Quest, Inc. offering artisanal products handcrafted by individuals with developmental disabilities. Blossom artisanal products is a unique work opportunity, employing adults and teenagers with developmental disabilities from Quest, inc.'s training center and Quest kids academy. From growing herbs to packaging and managing inventory, our team does it all. This innovative social venture allows individuals living with developmental disabilities a chance to blossom by developing their skills and earning a paycheck.
