Rural Resources Community Action was founded in 1965 by a group of local citizens concerned about their neighbors in need. To assist people and communities to develop the skills, resources and services necessary to improve their general welfare.

Program areas at Rural Resources Community Action

Housing - administration of low-income weatherization and energy assistance, housing preservation, and own, operate, and manage 60 units of low-income housing and shelter services. Also provide homebuyer and default counseling services, and rental assistance services.
Head start and early childhood education - administration of association's head start and early childhood programs.
Community living connections - administration of senior case management, information and assistance, copes and title xix senior programs, and senior nutrition programs. Also provide family caregiver, kinship programs, and health home services.
