Program areas at Seattle Symphony Orchestra
The Seattle Symphony is one of america's leading orchestras and is internationally acclaimed for its innovative programming and extensive recording history. The 2021-2022 season saw the return of live performances for the first time since the pandemic with over 139,619 attending in person. While attendance is still not at pre-pandemic levels, it is increasing over time. Streaming services was an add on benefit to subscribers and single concert goers who were able to view programming remotely. The Symphony also provided streaming services to other artistic organizations and community group events taking place at benaroya hall.
Education programming continued to be delivered digitally through the streaming platform. Seattle Symphony live, has enhanced the Symphony's education and community engagement outreach, with all programs for public benefit now provided digitally. Consequently, there has been growth in the geographic reach for these programs, with families, students and teachers across the state and even canada now participating in the link up and young composers workshop programs.
