Smart Home America shares knowledge with consumers, policymakers, and stakeholders to teach them about the resources and solutions available to build a resilient community and how to apply them.
Collaboration - serving as a nexus of resilient minded organizations and thought leaders, Smart Home America connects stakeholder groups to implement proven solutions to create resilient communities. These groups include, builders, contractors, architects, engineers, realtors, insurance, building officials, local, state, and federal government, non-government entities, appraisers and adjustors, manufacturers and suppliers, trade and professional associations, and academics and researchers.
Outreach - a critical component to our work, outreach activities serve multiple purposes: to build relationships in the community, bridge gaps in understanding, encourage improved building codes and incentives, support resilient policy, and empower consumers with the knowledge to undertake, and fund, hazard mitigation.
