Legal and research: States United protects elections by supporting pro-democracy measures from state leaders who oversee our elections, challenging anti-voter measures through litigation, and finding policy solutions to protect elections. We have engaged in work around election protection, accountability for Democracy violators, preventing political violence, and countering election disinformation. States United has also published nonpartisan research and resources on efforts to undermine free and fair elections, guides to election powers in the States, research on poll observer laws, and guidance for law enforcement officials on political violence.
