Program areas at The Biologos Foundation
Website, podcast, online communications 2022 was a year of great impact. Biologos' website had more than 3 million unique pageviews. We saw a steady rate of engagement on social media, including 6,500 followers on instagram and a christmas giveaway garnered nearly 24,000 impressions. We delivered over 980,000 emails and had over 26,000 subscribers to our rss feed. Our website published 46 total new articles and blogs, and we grew our network of authors (72% were new) and increased The diversity of content written by women (54%) and people of color (30%). Our podcast, language of god, received 440,000 downloads and held its first live events with makoto fujimura in san diego and bethany sollereder and nick spencer in uk.
Education in 2022, we released The complete integrate curriculum, including a launch celebration in Washington, dc featuring francis collins and phil vischer. We went on to sell more than 26,000 worth of curriculum over The course of The year. The integrate team translated two units into spanish of The five planned, drafted a bible study exploring how science deepens our understanding of being made in The image of god, and outlined two online courses that introduce evolutionary creationism and The evidence for evolution. Other highlights include quarterly webinars, creating a facebook community of integrate users, and building strategic partnerships with multiple christian education organizations.
Conference & events in march 2022 we held The faith & science conference, Biologos' biennial national conference, in san diego, ca. Over 1,200 virtual attendees joined 240 in-person participants for an impactful conference that featured such headline speakers as david brooks, katharine kayhoe, makoto fujimura, and francis collins. Attendees included a diverse mix of scientists, medical workers, pastors and ministry leaders, k12 educators, and scholars, with over 500 students participating virtually. We also held regional public events on technological ethics and human enhancement, as well as on having constructive conversations about environmental issues.
