The Perry Center's mission is to provide for her physical, emotional, and spiritual needs in a residential setting. The Perry Center is a faith-based ministry that provides shelter, healthy meals, education, mentoring, discipleship, job training, and structure so she and her baby can thrive in independence. In 2022, The Perry Center received referrals for new residents from physicians, wic, social services, hospitals, clinics, churches, homeless shelters, counselors, treatment centers, attorneys, jails, prisons, and placement from parents and guardians. 10 women were residents at The Perry Center for an average length of stay of 178 days. Throughout The year, The Perry Center provided 430 hours of educational classes, including parenting, nutrition, decision-making, and life skills. Additionally, The Perry Center served 268 families in The fargo/moorhead community by providing diapers, baby wipes, and other baby supply items at no cost. Tender hearts daycare is a childcare program that was added to The Perry Center programming in 2017. Tender hearts daycare provides a safe, loving, christ-centered environment with an emphasis on nurturing children and developing a life-long relationship with jesus. The program served 25 children in 2022. Tender hearts daycare not only serves The community but also provides childcare for maternity home residents and employment opportunities for qualifying residents.
