Program areas at Toniic
Member services: in 2022, Toniic served approximately 264 member accounts across 30 countries. Toniic members include individual investors, foundations, and family offices. Members are active impact investors, and many are thought leaders in the field. Toniic facilitated 287 global calls, webinars, and events with more than 2,485 attendees to promote impact investing and address challenges that members and the field face in capital deployment. Some of our events are members-only, and some are open to the public. Across all events, a small percentage of attendees are non-member guests.
Impact terms: impact terms offers a curated library of innovations in impact investing terms and structures, freely available to entrepreneurs, investors, and impact professionals. In 2022 we added multiple articles and content, including a template of a legal contract to limit the liability of investors sharing due diligence among themselves in order to lower impact investing transaction costs. We have also started a research project focused on how to structure revenue based financing investment across the world, by highlighting specific investment structures used in different countries.
T100: the t100 project is a longitudinal, free-to-the-public study of the progress of dedicated impact investors towards full deployment. Toniic publishes periodic reports analyzing collected data, and shares anonymized data with an academic research consortium led by the center for sustainable private wealth at the university of zurich. As part of the t100 project, Toniic launched tracer, an impact portfolio management platform designed to facilitate data collection for the t100 project. Tracer serves both investors, who can use the investor portal to enter and view aggregated financial and impact metrics at the portfolio level, and issuers (funds and enterprises), who can use the issuer portal to enter impact data and receive an automated mini impact report. The team is working on connecting tracer through an api to facilitate further data sharing. Toniic continues to support the academic research consortium with data for academic research papers to be published in international peer-reviewed journals.
