Program areas at Weimar Institute
Weimar Institute maintains three major activities, including their college program, Weimar Academy (a secondary educational school), and a lifestyle center. Weimar Institute is a college and missionary center which provides a four year degree program, a two year nursing program and other certificate programs. Over 70 students have participated in the college's activities. It is an independent institution that is supportive of Seventh Day Adventist beliefs and doctrines.Weimar Academy is a private Christian boarding school supportive of Seventh Day Adventist beliefs and doctrines. It provides an academic program that prepares young people for college.It also offers leadership training, mission trips, community outreach programs and physical fitness programs. Enrollment varies between 65 and 75 students.NEWSTART is the third program offered by the Weimar Institute. This is an 18 day live-in program to restore health using sound vegetarian nutrition, exercise, water sunlight, temperance, air and rest. Participants are treated and instructed by medical doctors and learn to improve their nutrition with vegetarian cooking classes.They are also encouraged to develop health exercise routines so when they leave the Institute they can maintain the healthy lifestyle when they return home. The program offered 15 sessions during the year serving 300 guests.
