Program areas at Weingarten Childrens Center

Onsite education and therapy program provides classroom education and one-on-one speech therapy for children ages 0 - 6 who are deaf or hard of Hearing. This program concentrates on receptive and expressive spoken language, social skills, and cognition. Program objectives are to meet each child's individualized education program or individualized family service plan goals, and to prepare children to succeed in mainstream education starting by the first grade. Babytalk teleintervention program developed in cooperation with the stanford school of medicine provides one-on-one distance audio/video speech and language therapy to parents and caregivers of children ages 0 - 3 who are deaf or hard of Hearing. (see schd o)onsite therapy-only program provides one-on-one in-person speech and language therapy for children who are deaf or hard of Hearing. Other services include educational audiology, occupational and movement therapy, and parent education, all focused on children who are deaf or hard of Hearing and their families.teach-lsl distance learning program offers remote listening and spoken language classes, teletherapy, and parent coaching to children who are deaf or hard of Hearing and their families.
