Description
WomenSafe provides emergency shelter and support services to survivors of domestic violence in Northeast Ohio, including a 24-hour hotline, court advocacy, counseling, education, referrals and other support. Abused adults and children can take advantage of the 24-hour shelter with basic needs provided by trained advocates who offer education and transportation through donations. Additionally, WomenSafe has a 24-hour hotline for support and crisis management. Counseling is also available to help survivors through their journey.

Program areas at WomenSafe

Emergency shelter -24 hour shelter is available for abused adults and children. Basic needs are provided through donations, transportation, and education by trained advocates. Copeline - 24-hour hotline for support and crisis management. Counseling - counselors aid adults and children utilizing individual counseling, art therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy, and support groups. Court advocacy - trained advocates provide support and referrals. Empowered parent program - trained professionals utilize this evidence based program to provide parent mentoring. Aftercare - survivors outside of shelter are provided with necessary support while working toward self-sufficiency.
