Mentorher initiative - this national initiative, launched in 2019, was created to help raise awareness about the importance of female mentorship. In partnership with for-profit and non-profit organizations across the country, mentorher pairs individual women in college and graduate school, or recent graduates with well-matched professionals and executives for a one-hour, 1:1 mentorship session. The positive effects of mentoring programs are well documented, and for young people, the impact is far-reaching. According to the national mentoring partnership, those with mentors are 130% more likely to hold leadership positions. According to 1df's - state of the american girl - tm research, 70 percent of young american women don't have a mentor. It was with these figures in mind that 1df created mentorher, aiming to accelerate growth in women's success in school and beyond. Through a unique matching process that aligns career goals and backgrounds, participating students are connected with experienced professionals who can share lessons from their own careers and insights into their industries. Honoring the executives' busy schedules, each mentor commits to meet once, in video conference, for a single, high-impact, 60-minute session. In 2021, 1df set a bold goal for the mentorher initiative: over 1000 hours of mentorship service to honor 1df's founding mission and lined up partnerships with the following companies thus far: colgate-palmolive, a global consumer products leader reimagining a healthier future for all people, their pets and our planet; allied esports, an award-winning, global esports entertainment company, and the owner and operator of the hyperx esports arena las vegas; harman (harman.com) designs and engineers connected products and solutions for automakers, consumers, and enterprises worldwide, including connected car systems, audio and visual products, enterprise automation solutions; and services supporting the internet of things; kendra scott, a lifestyle brand headquartered in austin, tx, providing gemstone-inspired collections that include fashion jewelry, fine jewelry, home goods and beauty; naacp legal defense and educational Fund, inc., america's premier legal organization fighting for racial justice. To date, over 500 hours of mentorship service has been generated through the program, which include 1:1 mentorship as well as workshops featuring guest speaker.

The new face of tech campaign has been named a finalist in the prestigious shorty social good awards program in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020. In 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022, the new face of tech program expanded to include a direct link to internship and job opportunities at harman. 1dfs paliwal club of 100: we partnered with the ila and dinesh paliwal foundation in 2019 to launch the paliwal club of 100, a scholarship program that funds the Dreams of 100 budding leaders in s.t.e.a.m. Fields - science, tech, engineering, arts, and math - over 10 years. Each talented recipient receives a $1,001000000 microgrant to put toward her future. In 2021, we expanded the program to offer additional scholarships under the original paliwal club of 100: steam scholars Fund and added a new Fund focused on providing scholarships to women pursuing careers in music under the paliwal club of 100: music scholars Fund. Our future paliwal club of 100 grantees aim to set the standard in their respective fields.
