Major activites include Homeless Veterans Stand Down, Memorial Day Tnbute, National Veterans Services and National Military Services ‘as defined by the National Veterans of Foreign Wars organization, funeral luncheons, VFW National Home for Children, Buddy Poppies Colorado VEW Foundation, and Englewood Adopt-A-Family community assistance
The Aunilary serves coffee and refreshments once each month in the Denver VA Medical Center admissions area, serves refreshments and ‘provides patient escort 3 times per year for the Denver VA chapel, provides bingo and refreshments once each month forthe psychiatne lockdown ward at Denver VA, provides gifis and refroshments at Christmas for patents in the Denver VA psychiaine ward ‘and donates cash to all eight other veteran nursing facilities in Colorado The auxiliary members additionally donate clothing, bedding books and other entertamment items to the Denver VA and other faciliues throughout the year
‘The Auxiliary donates to the state evel Voice of Democracy awards, provides the state ievel ist place award for PatnotsPen and contributes to the state leve! Patnotic Art award. The Auxiliary also provides cash awards for local entries in all three categories
