Justice-based transition from fossil fuels to clean energy: in coalitionsupported the implementation of the portland clean energy fund, a fund tocreate jobs and other community opportunities in the new economy; worked incoalition to gather thousands of public comments opposing expansion offossil fuel export facilities in Oregon; advocated for more aggressive cityand state targets for reducing carbon emissions while also consideringneeds of low-income communities; delivery of testimony to civic and electedleaders, participation in coalitions at the city and state levels, supportingclimate-protective and transportation policies as well as supportingcommunity members opposing the expansion of fossil fuel projects.grass-roots team organizing: staff supported expansion and training ofvolunteer base to lead 300+ events (information sessions, arts-based events,public marches and gatherings and other creative methods) for educating onthe climate crisis.
