Program areas at 4C For Children / Comprehensive Community Child Care Inc
Child Care professional training and coaching: 4C provides education training and coaching to teachers, directors, and Child Care providers. In 2023, 4C provided 733 training workshops for 13,211 early childhood professionals. 4C also provided coaching to 1,314 Child Care programs serving 43,792 Children through 5,229 coaching visits and graduated 150 Child Care professionals in the Child development associate preparation program. 4C helps prepare Child Care programs to achieve quality ratings in Ohio's step up to quality system.
4C's Child nutrition program administers the federal meal reimbursement program for Child Care providers. The program makes it possible for Children to receive healthy, nutritious meals while in Child Care and develop healthy eating habits at an early age. In 2023, 4C supported 331 Child Care programs through the Child nutrition program, providing 651,530 nutritious meals to Children in Child Care.
Child Care referral and family programs: 4C is focused on helping families find and choose quality Care and empowering families with knowledge and skills to ensure their Child's optimal development. 4C uses a Comprehensive database of Child Care centers, preschool programs, family Child Care homes, head start programs, and after-school programs to provide Child Care referrals to families. In 2023, 4C helped 2,349 families find Child Care and access parent education. In addition, 4C helped 53 families experiencing homelessness find reliable Child Care.
The 4C for Children's (4C) Children's services hub program works collaboratively with private and public Children's service agencies to build connections to resources within our local communities to recruit new foster and adoptive families in our region. In 2023, 261 family inquiries were received by 4C. Of those inquirers, 114 chose to partner with a private agency and 61 chose to partner with a public agency.
4C business expansion and start up services in which we worked with 226 existing or potential Child Care program operateors. 4C also provided 46 business workshops sessions for 88 unique participants.
