88-crime, Inc supports the pima county attorney's office. 88-crime program through fundraising for rewards, approving recommended rewards participating in and supporting k through 12 school education, providing higher education scholarships, and public awareness programs to prevent crime and to encourage the reporting of crime by the members of the public 88-crime, operated by the pcao, provides an anonymous telephone number mobile app and website for the southern Arizona community to provide information on unsolved felonies, which is then forwarded to law enforcement to investigate. With any arrest the caller receives up to 2500 in reward money. 88-crime works closely with all media, which highlights fugitives, cold case homicides and other felony crimes by means of television, radio and newspapers. In addition, the organization collaborates with schools by providing visual materials and information to students to educate grades k-12 on how to anonymously contact 88-crime to report illegal or suspicious activities at their school. Anonymous tips: 88-crime, Inc. Supports the pima county attorney's office (pcao) anonymous tip line. The pcao provides an anonymous phone number, mobile app and website for the southern Arizona community to provide information on unsolved felonies, which is then forwarded to law enforecement to investigate. With any arrest the anonymous caller receives up to 2,500 in reward money. The board of directors meets monthly to review and approve recommended reward amounts for anonymous tips that led to felony arrest. During 2023, the board approved 41,800 in rewards for tipsters. Additionally, 119 investigation cases were cleared, 28 weapons recovered, approximately 1,568,067 in stolen property recovered and 1,365,827 in illicit drugs were seized. Community awareness: 88-crime works closely with all media, which highlights fugitives, cold case homicides and other felony crimes by means of television, radio, newspapers and social media. In addition, the organization collaborates with local community events to educate the community about the anonymous tipline and mission of 88-crime. During these events, the organization provides printed material and logoed items to raise awareness of the anonymous tipline and potential rewards for tipsters. During 2023, the organization attended 28 community events.
