Program areas at A Better Life Foundation USA
Waste Not Want Not - New York City. A large-scale food recovery program in partnership with CHASE Bank and The Infatuation ABLF took ?leftover? food from 35 vendors at a two day food event, 7 tonnes, and transported it to Harlem in partnership with FOOD Bank NYC cooked it off and handed it out to neighbours in need. This program will repeat year after year and will hopefully grow to other cities in the US and create the archetype to partner with the over 250,000 conferences in the US each year that wast millions of tonnes of food.
Dinner x ABLF - Formerly Greasy Spoon Supper Series, now Dinner x ABLF. At Dinner x ABLF community convenes in a safe space of radical hospitality to inspire everyday advocacy. Attendees from for-profit and not-profits sit and share a family style meal inspired by local ingredients. A BETTER LIFE FOUNDATION USA INC. allows for all to see themselves in contributing to the well-being of their community via soft advocacy. At the end of all dinners attendees receive a call to action.
Waste Not Want Not - Hudson Valley. In partnership with Hudson Valley Farmers, we secured 300 boxes (20lbs each) of fresh organic produce and distributed it to Harlem New York to seniors and families in need.
