Program areas at A Brighter Way
ABW helps formerly incarcerated individuals living in Washtenaw County to build stable, successful, and fulfilling lives. We support these returned citizens by forging strong relationships with our mentoring teams, community resources, and committed advocates. In 2022, we expanded mentoring and housing services, provided rent diversion services, started a program for services and mentoring to elder clients, and started a housing program with McKinley that provided housing to our clients. We also participated in a Resource Fair for returning citizens and established a successful grant-writing committee.
