Program areas at A Home for Everyone in Dekalb
Providing temporary shelter and housing to people experiencing homelessness. 164 people were provided short term service into hotels and apartment units. Most were referrals from Threshold Ministries of Decatur Presbyterian Church and from Decatur Cooperative Ministries.
Our Snapfinger House that was purchased the prior fiscal year continues to house three unrelated males and provide case management to help them with jobs, health care, financial management, and securing permanent rental housing. In this fiscal year, 5 of the residents were able to transition.
Because of COVID 19 we were able to open just Cold Weather shelters when night temperatures were projected to fall below 35 degrees, - Decatur First United Methodist Church to provide meals, sleeping bags, blankets, health care products, We also provided MARTA bus tokens to people arriving at nearby Decatur Recreation Center to go to a new shelter in DeKalb - Frontline. 189 people served received help between November 1 and March 21,
