Program areas at A Spring of Hope

For the 2023 year, our sister organization in South Africa (A South African Non-Profit Organization), A Spring of Hope South Africa, hired a new Executive Director, Nelly Mofokeng. Nelly is based in Hoedspruit and will oversee all ASoH, South Africa management. A Spring of Hope was able to drill two wells this year and continued our programs of permaculture and school gardens, Mina Cup program, Girls Club and was able to hold the inaugural A Spring of Hope Women in Entrepreneurship Program graduation for 29 local community women. We celebrated these inspiring women who have taken this step towards financial freedom. We also continue our Permaculture Workshop for the schools and community centers. We also hired a Development and Event Consultant and held our 3rd annual ASoH Gala. We are also doing smaller events and working towards donor development and support. We understand it takes time to develop these funding opportunities and we will re-evaluate at the end of 2024.
