services for educations programs for youth and familiesAarons Community Cultural Center: Agencies Community Care Program Aarons Community Cultural Center (ACCC) is excited to announce the launch of our Community Care Program. This initiative is designed to provide essential services to individuals with medical, housing, transportation and emotional support issues in the Los Angeles community. Program Overview Program Overview Our program offers a variety of activities aimed at enhancing the well-being of participants by providing: Medical resources and appointment facilitation Housing assistance Transportation support Emotional support activities through modalities such as art, music, games, reading, videos, and conversation These activities can be conducted in small groups of 5-10 participants or on an individual basis. Volunteer Give Back Motto: When You Give Back, You Get Back* This program focuses on employment preparation, marketing, and customer service skills. It allows participants to hone these skills in preparation for monthly community outreach events, where they will provide food, hygiene products, clothing, and other essential items to individuals and families in Long Beach and the surrounding communities. Individual Services For individuals, our volunteers can assist with: Writing letters or making phone calls to loved ones Provide manicures and hand massages Run errands to local stores within a 5-mile radius Volunteers are available for to visit your facility or individuals home 1-5 times per week, every day of the week. Group and individually hosted Volunteers Activities include current event discussions, helping residents access special community resources and food (for those living independently) Provide snacks for participants in residential communities upon approval. Assist with home visits, light cleaning, and meal preparation Partnership Opportunities We are eager to partner with your facility. ACCC's specialized volunteers and CNAs can visit your establishment to assist 1-8 clients per day. These volunteers will provide: Emotional support Mental and sensory stimulation Integration exercises Goal and Mission Our mission is to make the Los Angeles community a warm and inviting place to live and mature.
