Residential Continuum of Care: Ability Beyond's residential programs create nurturing families; providing care and support for every age and stage of appropriate to support the individuals we serve. They also foster the dignity and self-respect that are the foundation for economic and social sucess. During Fiscal Year 2022-2023 our residential programs supported over 400 individuals in Connecticut and New York State through supported independent living, and group residences for various levels of care (including senior supports) required for their safe, secure and happy enviroment. These programs are also supported by life-skill classes, recreational activities that take place for participating residents attending our day programs in Connecticut and New York.
Independent Living Support: Everyone deserves a say in how they live, work and participate in their communities. We help people with disabilities have that say, by learning about their personal goals and setting a path to reach them. Our supports range from educational to recreational, life-skills instruction, transportation, medical care to addiction recovery services and more. A secure and welcoming home does more than meet a basic physical need for shelter. It goes beyond-serving as an anchor in a challenging world, providing protection, comfort and support. Our programs provide dignity, self-respect and the foundation for economic and social success. (please see complete narrative on attachment A)
