Program areas at Accessabilities / United Cerebral Palsy of Western
Individuals with disabilities receive the support they need to accomplish tasks of daily living in order to remain at home and live independently. Specialized services are offerred to youth, adults and seniors with a wide variety of disabilities including functional limitations in the areas of mobility, communication, self-care, learning or capacity for independence. Supports include assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, personal hygiene, mobility, nutrition guidance, meal preparation, assistance with eating, home living tasks such as errands, housekeeping and laundry, respite, companion services, and community integration.
The first steps early intervention program serves children from birth to age 3 who exhibit a 25% delay in one or more areas of development, or have a known physical or mental condition which has a high probability of resulting in developmental delay. Our team of licensed therapists and early education specialists work with the child's family to develop an individualized family service plan that may include services such as physical, occupational, speech, nutrition and vision therapies, along with special instruction, all designed to give children the best opportunity for a successful future.
