Program areas at Aci Center of Excellence for Nonmetallics in Building Materials
Membership - our partners include manufacturers of Nonmetallics, material suppliers, standards bodies, specifying agencies, technical societies/institutes, universities/research centers, training centers, project owners, engineers, designers, project specifiers, and contstruction companies and developers. We have 5 levels of membership. As of december 2023, we had one sustaining member, one gold member and ten bronze members.
Projects - nex coordinates projects which support our strategic goals and objectives as follows: development of standards and guidelines (4 new projects in 2023), research and development (6 new projects in 2023), technical advocacy and awareness (7 new projects in 2023), and professional development (3 new projects in 2023). in addition a memorandum of understanding (mou) was signed with 11 non-profit organization with the goal to effectively and efficiently collaborate and reduce redundant efforts on issues related to nonmetallic Building Materials.
