The first grant, which is an educational grant, will establish scholarship programs so that children and grandchildren of employees who are starting college and who have dedicated a certain amount of volunteer hours to charitable causes will receive grants to help pay for college.the second grant, which is the eric caslow seafood innovation fund and awards, will go to three applicants each year that demonstrate that their innovations will positively impact seafood manufacturing, food safety, the future of proteins, fishing and aquaculture practices, traceability, fisheries, management, feed, packaging, transportation, and labor. At a time when the industry is in desperate need of attracting and retaining diverse talent, this fund will focus on making awards to women and minorities that are contributing to a climate friendly future for the industry.
