Program areas at Act Indiana
Act Indiana identifies issues of concern to low- and moderate-income communities and communities of color. We partner with experts to provide training in civic engagement and community organizing, host town halls, public forums, and promote education and understanding of community identified issues and solutions. Our work in 2018 focused on immigrant rights, criminal justice reform, access to affordable healthcare, economic dignity, and a fair democracy. Training may include community outreach skills, strategic planning and leading meetings, building effective campaigns, strategic communications, and increasing civic participation in their communities.
