Awi is a recruiting, it training, and coaching organization that focuses on professional and interpersonal development to enable our students to succeed in it careers and achieve economic freedom. Activatework supports clients whose overlapping social identities including race, gender, and class, contribute to the inequities that they face and their lack of opportunities in the workplace. Avtivatework prioritizes serving under- and unemployed candidates who face a unique set of challenges to entering the workforce, such as limited professional networks, financial barriers excluding them from unpaid internships, and absence of skills and credentials required by high-wage-earning opportunities. The individuals supported identify is bipoc and are living on low incomes. Activatework client demographics include 100% are low- or moderate-income and 91% are at or below 80% of ami, 65% are people of color, 59% are unemployed, 60% have less than a four-year college degree, 31% are female and 26% are immigrants. Activatework's workforce model advances racial equity thoguh its focus on moving underrepresented individuals into economic mobility and career pathways to middle-class jobs. Activatework is committed to sustaining and growing its job training and placement program. It has establsihed a five-year scaling plan to increase the efficiency and efficacy of its program and extend its impact in the community, growing enrollments by 8% annually, from 192 enrollments in 2023 to 408 enrollments annually in 2027. Annual graduations and job placements will show similar trajectory, growing from 163 graduates to 347 graduates, and 131 job placements annually to 277 job placements, over the same period. Activatework also seeks to increase the number of courses that it offers, with the goal of offering 17 course enrollment opportunites by 2027. To this end, acticatework is expanding course offerings to include software engineering, desktop support, security fundamentals, and aws re/start. It will also expand the current apprenticeship portfolio by adding a jr software developer apprenticeship program and by recruiting additional employers to pilot apprenticeship.
