Program areas at Ada S. Mckinley Community Services

Residential Services is comprised of thirteen locations: davis house - 4237 S. Indiana ave. (773) 373-1044; moore house - 9135 S. brandon ave. (773) 731-4033; knight house - 6600 S. stewart ave. (773) 994-0775; hammond house - 6701 S. morgan street (773) 994-0833; danforth house - 4540 S. Michigan ave. (773) 373-1073; 2659 w. 59th street (administrative office residential Services (773) 918-6200). We provide housing and rehabilitation Services for adults 16 and older who have disabilities. Employment training and monitoring is also provided. Between the integrated care facilities for developmental disabilities (icf/dd) and eight Community integrated living arrangements (cilas), 119 clients were served. These are considered private residences and addresses and telephone numbers are not published.
Child welfare Services: foster family care and adoption Services operate out of two program sites: 7640 S. vincennes avenue and 7718 south phillips avenue. Traditional foster care Services (773) 602-2660, foster care emergency shelter Services (773)356-6972. We serve wards of the state, their siblings, biological and foster parents through licensing of homes, placement, and permanency support, case management, post permanency support, and child protection. The program served 324 children this year.
Employment & Community support Services: these programs provide rehabilitation, vocational training, employment, job search and placement Services to a total of 609 clients at the following locations: 219 S. dearborn street - dirksen federal building (312) 554-2522; 230 S. dearborn street - kluczynski federal building (312) 886-2222; 2834 green bay road, north chicago - great lakes naval training center; 517 e. Wisconsin ave., milwaukee, wi - milwaukee federal u.s. court building; po box 174, bunkerhill, in 46914 - grissom air force reserve base (765) 689-9248; 475 blackhawk drive, ft. sheridan, il - ft. sheridan reserve center (847) 266-1060; 6033 S. wentworth avenue - vocational Services (773) 955-2900; 1112 east 87th street - aztlan Community industries (773) 734-7500; 1863 S. wabash avenue - walter c. mccrone industries (312) 300-1800. We serve adults with disabilities, or those who are economically disadvantaged, who are aged 16 and over. We provide vocational training and habilitation Services, job placement, janitorial Services, intake / outreach, vocational evaluation, developmental training, work Services, work adjustment, and supportive employment Services.
Educational Services talent search/early intervention college preparation and placement programs, 100 east 34th street, (312)328-3543. We serve low income, first generation, 6th through 12th graders. We provide college preparation toutoring, summer school classes, cultural enrichment, act test preparation, and assistance with college admission and financial aid Services. Program served 1,692 students this year. Behavioral health & clinical Services is located at 2715 west 63rd street (773) 918-6100. We provide mental health crisis intervention, pre-psychiatric hospital screening assessment, in-home and officer based theerapeutic couseling, psychiatric/psychological assessments and medication monitoring for children with mental health and development disorders. We served 3,665 clients this year.early head start / head start programs which served 385 clients providing early intervention/ child development Services.
