Improving fisheries sustainability in chile and peru: systems-level research to assess, synthesize, and design intervention plans for priority fisheries to improve their sustainability.
MINGAMAR CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAM IN CHILE: SUPPORT AN ORGAINZATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS PROGRAM FOR NGOs WORKING ON MARINE AND FISHERIES CONSERVATION IN CHILE.
Testing new rodenticide in urban environments: testing new methods for rodent control in urban environments on google campuses in California.
Other program services - (1) monitoring, evaluation, and learning for packard foundation (mel) - led various mel activities for the david & lucile packard foundations's shorebird and chile oceans programs. (2) platforma costera: design and support an online platform whose goal is to provide a central location for knowledge dissemination and collaboration for the chileans working on coastal sustainability issues. (3) capital azul marine program: continued the design and scale of a program with small-scale chilean fishermen, which provides funding to co-operatives to establish no-take areas within their fishing grounds and implement an anti-poaching enforcement program. (4) reducing illegal fishing: research to understand the extent and drivers of illegal fishing in chile; support a collaboration to develop and implement methodologies to provide low-cost monitoring data on vessels to reduce illegal activities. (5) maya forest trust Conservation plan: design and implement applied social science to characterize the stakeholdrs living near the maya forest national park in belize.
